“Winter comes, bringing with it a cold air everywhere. The sky is usually gloomy, light gray, and thick clouds signal drizzle or snow. The wind blows cold, as if it wants to cut into the skin, forcing everyone to put on thick warm clothes. I was on my way home from my last shift, on a deserted street with no one around so I felt the cold all around me, when a stray dog, skinny and weak, was found.
He was abandoned by his owner, homeless, and living in hunger and cold. That dog used to have a family, but for some reason, he was left on the side of the road, with no one to care for him. The poor dog was having to forage from the trash and sometimes had to fight with other dogs for leftovers. His fur was matted and dirty, and he was getting weaker and weaker.
While running after a piece of bread across the street, he didn’t pay attention and bumped into a passerby. It was hard to imagine and describe the scene. I ran closer and was confused when he said that the dog had been in a car accident. It didn’t take me long to decide to help him. Because I knew that a weak puppy, a poor abandoned dog puppy was looking for help.
After receiving the puppy, our veterinary rescue team immediately took her to my nearby clinic.
They were careful when abandoned dog transporting her but noticed that something was wrong. The owner told them that she had been in an accident, but they didn’t see any signs.
X-rays confirmed to them that she had no broken bones, so that story fell apart. Her blood tests were also normal. So, what happened? They noticed that her neck was always tilted to one side, so they decided to do an MRI to determine exactly what was wrong with her.
The tests showed that she had cerebral edema and cortical atrophy, which was what was causing her problems.
The puppy was scared and put her head in her gloved hand. They determined that she had been like this since birth and that her owner probably didn’t want to care for her. The head shaking was clearly not due to injury.
She was about four to five months old and had received very little medical help to correct any of her health problems.
However, this was not the time to despair. abandoned dog The shelter staff and veterinarians were determined to help her live a normal life.
The dog’s rescuers were baffled by the owner’s lies and couldn’t understand why he would abandon the dog so cruelly. They tried to contact him, but were unsuccessful.
